WALDWICK BOROUGH WATER TREATMENT SYSTEMS

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

Waldwick Borough recently closed on a $5,901,105 loan with the NJ Water Bank to address excessive levels of PFAS and PFOS. This group of chemicals is commonly used in a wide range of industrial processes and is found in many consumer products. PFAS can penetrate the water supply and affect drinking water quality. This project proposes the installation of Granular Activated Carbon or GAC units at six wells to treat for PFAS and PFOS to ensure compliance with New Jersey's drinking water Maximum Contaminant Level standards.
