OAKLAND BOROUGH LOAN CLOSING

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

The Borough of Oakland recently closed on a $7,681,070 loan with the New Jersey Water Bank for the engineering phase of its wastewater treatment system renovation. Three sewer treatment plants will be decommissioned and converted to pump stations. The construction of force mains will complete the connection to the Northwest Bergen County Utilities Authority treatment system. This connection will expand the sewer system within the borough, converting the residential septic system to sewer, moving existing business and industrial zones into the system.
