NORTH BRUNSWICK TOWNSHIP SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

North Brunswick Township recently closed on a $2,828,349 loan with the NJ Water Bank to replace the sanitary sewer main along Livingston Avenue. The existing sanitary sewer mains consist of 8- and I0-inch diameter clay pipes with severe root intrusion resulting in blockages. Video inspection of the sanitary sewer pipes from How Lane to Elmer Place indicated signs of deterioration. Proposed improvements include the replacement of approximately 1,675 linear feet of sanitary sewer mains and manholes and approximately 3,880 linear feet of sewer main structural lining. This project will decrease the potential for sanitary sewer breaks, reduce maintenance costs and service interruption, while reinforcing overall reliability and resiliency.
