Belleville Township recently closed on a $2,592,243 loan with the NJ Water Bank for Phase 1 of its lead service line replacement program. The project includes the replacement of 430 lead service lines out of the approximately 5,500 identified by the Belleville Water Department. All lines will be replaced from the water main in the street to the water meter in the dwelling.
