SRVSA LOAN CLOSING

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

The Somerset Raritan Valley closed today on a $33,000,000 construction loan with the NJ Water Bank for the construction of a Stormwater Control Treatment Facility (SCTF) in the vicinity of Somerville's sanitary sewer connection to the SRVSA interceptor. The proposed project will utilize pumping, coarse and fine screening, primary clarification, compressible media filtration and UV disinfection to treat wastewater from Somerville's SSO during major storm events, and safely discharge the treated effluent into the Raritan River. Odor control and emergency power generation facilities will also be installed above the FEMA 500-year flood elevation.
