PVSC SECONDARY BYPASS AND SLUDGE TRAIN LOAN CLOSING

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

The Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission (PVSC) recently closed on a $116,000,000 loan with the NJ Water Bank to design and construct a secondary bypass to improve plant performance. The secondary bypass will re-route the sludge train recycling streams to the primary clarifiers increasing wet treatment capacity from the current 400 million gallons per day (MGD) to 720 MGD, reducing combined sewer overflow discharge volumes. This project will increase treatment plant performance and stability.
