NEWTON TOWN MEMORY PARK DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

Newton Town recently closed on a $981,835 loan with the NJ Water Bank to implement Drainage Improvements for Babe Ruth League Baseball Field in Memory Park. The park lacks proper drainage, resulting in saturated soils and risking public safety. The township proposes the installation of gray infrastructure and green infrastructure in areas where stormwater discharge can be treated on-site. This project will benefit the environment and protect public health and safety on this recreational field.
