NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

The City of Newark recently closed on a $22,840,021 loan with the New Jersey Water Bank for physical and operational improvements at the Pequannock Water Treatment Plant. This project will achieve improved treatment plant capacity under all water quality conditions. The project includes the optimization of coagulation procedure, replacement of the filter media and underdrain system, replacement of filter valves, backwash pump replacement, filter flow control changes, the addition of an air scouring system and electrical and control system upgrades.
