Mount Laurel Township Municipal Utilities Authority recently closed on a $1,085,489 construction loan with the NJ Water Bank to perform numerous sewer system improvements. The proposed project includes the rehabilitation of the primary and secondary clarifiers. A warehouse will be converted to a vehicle storage facility and a storage building will be converted to a plant laboratory. Two off-site sewage pumping stations will be rehabilitated and A PLC monitoring system will be installed at 30 sewage pump stations. The building's framing and siding will be modified, and an additional driveway and garage door will be installed. The electric room will be modified, and the roof repaired. Building walls will be insulated and new lighting and HVAC equipment installed.
