MONTVILLE TOWNSHIP LOAN CLOSING

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

Montville Township recently closed on a $2,800,000 loan with the New Jersey Water Bank to improve groundwater quality and surface water. Approximately 9,000 linear feet of 8-inch PVC pipe will be installed to connect 95 homes, currently served by septic systems, to Montville's sanitary sewer system. The project also includes the installation of 95 service laterals up to the property boundary and road trench restoration.

The septic systems included in the project area are failing, resulting in critical groundwater and surface water contamination, posing a significant threat to drinking water and human health. This project will improve the groundwater quality and positively impact the water quality of nearby Lake Valhalla.
