Clinton Town recently closed on a $3.2 million loan through the New Jersey Water Bank to fund critical water main upgrades that will strengthen system reliability and public safety.
Phase 3 includes replacement of the vital river crossing at the South Branch of the Raritan River, along with approximately 1,000 linear feet (LF) of water main extension to Leigh Street to enhance system resiliency.
Phase 4 will replace approximately 500 LF of aging 8-inch ductile iron pipe along Old Highway 22 and add 1,500 linear feet of new water main to create a looped system, improving water flow, reliability, and fire protection.
The project also includes site clearing, new service connections, valves, fire hydrants, site restoration, paving, and other related improvements.
This investment ensures Clinton's water infrastructure is stronger, more resilient, and better equipped to serve residents and businesses for years to come.
