MIDDLESEX COUNTY UTILITIES AUTHORITY LOAN CLOSING

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

Middlesex County Utilities Authority ("MCUA") recently closed on a $19,000,000 loan with the NJ Water Bank for Phase V of the Central Treatment Plant (CTP) rehabilitation. The first component of the project consists of HVAC improvements to the administration annex building, including mechanical system improvements to address humidity, new boilers, and fan coils. The second component replaces the process air piping, including the air diffuser assemblies for the eight aerated channels around the treatment plant and the installation of an additional blower to maintain dissolved air levels and keep solids in suspension. This project will allow the MCUA to continue to meet the plant's effluent water quality permit requirements and assist with process control and reporting.
