MANTUA MUA ROYAL OAKS LOAN CLOSING

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

The Mantua Township Municipal Utilities Authority (MTMUA) recently closed on a $946,199 loan with the New Jersey Water Bank for improvements at the Royal Oaks Pump Station. The improvements include the reconfiguration of the existing electrical system and standby power system. The duplex pump control panel will be replaced, and station bypass capabilities will be installed. In addition, a new grinder, winch and davit equipment will be installed as well as upgrades to the SCADA system for improved monitoring and control. This project will protect local water quality from disturbances related to chemical leaching and accidental discharges, enhancing public health. In addition, maintenance time and costs will be reduced and system monitoring improved.
