JMEUC BIOSOLIDS FACILITY PUMP STATION

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

The Joint Meeting of Essex and Union Counties (JMEUC) recently closed on a $10,775,000 loan with the NJ Water Bank to construct the Biosolids Facility Storm Water Pump Station. The work proposed includes a below grade wet well, three submersible stormwater pumps, discharge piping, connection to the stormwater surge tank, construction of new on-site storm sewer piping, and relocation of utilities and other associated work as required for the pumping station.

This project will protect the facility against future natural disasters reducing the risk of service loss and untreated sewage being released into the environment. These improvements will incorporate resiliency and minimize potential damage to the facility's critical infrastructure.
