DEPTFORD TOWNSHIP MUA COUNTRY CLUB ESTATES LOAN CLOSINGS

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

The Deptford Township MUA recently closed on two loans with the NJ Water Bank totaling $2,145,768 for the rehabilitation of water and sewer mains in the Country Club Estates section of Deptford Township. The mains were constructed in the 1920's through the 1960's and are deteriorating. The sanitary sewer project includes the rehabilitation of approximately 2,770 linear feet (LF) of 8-inch diameter terra cotta sewer mains and the restoration of associated manholes with cured-in-place pipe lining. Sanitary lateral connections will also be replaced or repaired.

The proposed water main project entails the replacement of approximately 3,520 LF of 8-inch diameter asbestos cement water mains with new 8-inch diameter concrete lined ductile iron pipe. Related appurtenances will also be replaced, including side street reconnections, isolation valves, fire hydrants, and service connections.
