CUMBERLAND COUNTY IMPROVEMENT AUTHORITY LOAN CLOSING

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

The Cumberland County Improvement Authority recently closed on a $5,919,704 loan with the New Jersey Water Bank to implement a series of improvements at the Cumberland County Landfill. The project will include side slope restoration to effectively manage contact and non-contact water and minimize leachate generation. The installation of a landfill gas main header pipe will increase capacity of its extraction system. A new rain cover will be installed to prevent precipitation from infiltrating the landfill and reduce leachate generation. The bio-tank feed pipe and pump system will be improved with secondary containment to limit any accidental spills of leachate. The project will also include drainage and pavement improvements.
