CLINTON TOWN WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

Clinton Town recently closed on a $1,448,187 loan with the NJ Water Bank to replace the West Main Street Water Main and for Asset Management planning. The existing main within the project area is prone to frequent leaks and breaks. The Asset Management Plan (AMP) recommends increasing these mains to 8-inches to meet public water utility standards for the reliable delivery of potable water and improved fire protection.

The proposed project includes a water main extension of approximately 1,000 linear feet (LF) to reinforce the distribution system as well as the replacement of the critical river crossing. In addition, approximately 2,000 LF of 8 inch DIP water main will be installed to replace the existing main along West Main Street consisting of site clearing, service connections, valves, fire hydrants, site restoration, paving, and related appurtenances.
