NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

Bergen County Utilities Authority recently closed on a $38,000,000 loan with the New Jersey Water Bank for repairs at the Little Ferry Water Pollution Control Facility, which was damaged in Superstorm Sandy. The scope of work includes repairs to the main pump station and substations, conveyance disinfection, primary sludge removal, blowers, grit removal, secondary sludge pumping stations, and the administrative building. This project will ensure that plant remains functional during storm events and prevent impacts from sewage backups and overflows.
