ATLANTIC CITY MUA WATER METER AND MTU REPLACEMENT

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

The Atlantic City MUA ("Authority") recently closed on a $1,955,044 loan with the NJ Water Bank to upgrade or replace approximately 6500 Automatic Meter Readers ("AMR") and Meter Transmission units throughout Atlantic City. Authority staff will install the new meters.

By providing advanced notification of homeowner leaks, AMR intelligence can quickly resolve issues in the field, and track water consumption more accurately, improving staff efficiency and customer service. The installation of the meters will also encourage water conservation and improve billing efficiency resulting in reduced operation and maintenance costs.
