The Camden County Utilities Authority (CCMUA) recently closed on a $1,249,973 loan with the NJ Water Bank to create a Long-Term Control Plan (LTCP). The LTCP is a system-wide evaluation of the sewage infrastructure, and the hydraulic relationship between the sewers, precipitation, treatment capacity and overflows in Camden and Gloucester Cities. As part of the LTCP, Camden and Gloucester Cities and the CCMUA must evaluate alternatives that will reduce or eliminate the discharges, and develop a plan and implementation schedule to do so. LTCPs are created to identify the most cost-effective manner to regulate CSOs to meet water quality standards.
