ACUA SOLIDS HANDLING IMPROVEMENTS

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

The Atlantic County Utilities Authority (ACUA) recently closed on a $12.5 million loan from the NJ Water Bank to upgrade solids handling equipment at the City Island Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project includes the replacement of aging dewatering, thickening, sludge receiving, and conveyance systems essential for processing and disposing of wastewater solids. The new equipment will improve operational efficiency, increase system reliability, and support long-term sustainability at the facility.
