NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

The Borough of Wenonah recently closed on a $93,975 loan with the New Jersey Water Bank to design and implement an Asset Management Plan for the Sanitary Sewer Collection System.

The Borough of Wenonah Department of Public Works operates and maintains five small public sanitary sewer lift stations and 14.22 miles of sewer main. Parts of the existing collection systems are deteriorated and subject to inflow and infiltration resulting in loss of sewage to the environment and admission of groundwater and stormwater to the system. In accordance with the Asset Management Plan, the Township plans to repair the deteriorated sewers to assure that wastewater is safely conveyed to the regional wastewater treatment facility. The Borough plans to repair the deteriorated sewers to assure that wastewater is safely conveyed to the regional wastewater treatment facility. The Borough also anticipates replacing outdated lift stations.
