SHORE WATER COMPANY TANK PAINTING AND REPAIR

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

Shore Water Company recently closed on a $20,000,000 loan with the NJ Water Bank to repaint its 75,000-gallon elevated water storage tank inside and out. The tank provides potable water service through approximately 1,270 service connections, with sources of supply from one Cohansey aquifer well and two Piney Point aquifer wells. Last painted in 2011, the tank has shown signs of corrosion. The proposed project consists of full sandblast treatment of the tank, inside and out, along with repainting and metal repair work proposed by MBA Associates, a private firm that inspected the tank. The tank will be shrouded using tarps and scaffolding to protect surrounding homes from dust and debris. This project will ensure protection of the tank's structural integrity by addressing its corrosion and protecting it from future deterioration, ensuring that water quality continues to meet all State and Federal requirements.
