PARSIPPANY TROY HILLS TOWNSHIP LOAN CLOSING

Parsippany Troy Hills Township NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

Parsippany Troy Hills Township recently closed on a $8,905,938 loan with the New Jersey Water Bank for wastewater conveyance rehabilitation. Pump Station No. 4 (PS4) conveys wastewater to the township's wastewater treatment plant through 8,900 linear-foot, 24-inch diameter, concrete force main. The pump station and its force main were constructed in the early 1960s and are approaching the end of their useful lives. The original 24-inch concrete force main crosses under Route 46 and routes through wetlands risking failure that would have significant consequences. The project redirects flow from the pump station through a gravity sewer to an existing 72-inch interceptor. Upon completion, PS4 will be taken out of service, providing considerable energy savings and reducing the risk of polluting the wetlands.
