PVSC FLOOD WALL LOAN CLOSING

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

The Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission recently closed on a $27,855,441 loan to construct a flood wall at the wastewater treatment plant on Wilson Avenue in Newark to protect the plant during extreme weather events. This project will mitigate against the future risk of storm damage and potential service disruption. The existing storm water drainage system will be upgraded, and three pumping stations will be constructed to remove water within the flood wall during storm events.
