NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

Ocean County UA recently closed on a $668,003 construction loan with the NJ Water Bank toRehabilitate the Manahawkin Interceptor, Sl-4 which is a 24-inch diameter gravity interceptor located in the Authority's Southern Service Area. It was installed in 1977 using Pre-stressed Concrete Cylinder Pipe (PCCP). Cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) technology will be used to rehabilitate approximately 2,200 linear feet of 24-inch diameter PCCP in Sl-4. This work will also include the rehabilitation of manholes, as required. The CIPP lining will require bypassing of flows while the liner is installed, and portions of the bypass pipe require minor excavation of existing roads to temporarily bury the bypass pipe.
