MCUA MAIN TRUNK SEWER & METER CHAMBER REHAB

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

Middlesex County Utilities Authority ("MCUA") recently closed on an $26,000,000 loan with the NJ Water Bank to rehabilitate part of the Main Trunk Sewer (MTS) on the north side of the service area. This is the third of several phases to address deterioration within the pipeline, most of which was constructed in the 1950's. Instead of implementing these improvements on separate occasions, the MCUA will capitalize on the costly diversion and bypass pumping of flows around several facilities at once. In addition, the MCUA will rehabilitate eleven meter chambers and various connected pipes throughout the MCUA System.
