LAVALLETTE BOROUGH POTABLE WATER SUPPLY REPLACEMENT

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

Lavallette Borough recently closed on a $3,700,000 loan with the NJ Water Bank to drill a replacement for Well #3 which was originally drilled in 1948 and is currently operating at a reduced capacity. The electrical system was obsolete when it was damaged by Superstorm Sandy and replacement parts are no longer available. Because these system components are needed to meet the Borough water supply needs, the existing electrical system serving Wells # 3 & 5 and the Water Plant will be replaced. Well #5 will also be redeveloped to prevent potential future water-quality issues.
