HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP LOAN CLOSING

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

Hopewell Township recently closed on a $122,571 loan with the New Jersey Water Bank for the completion of Sewer Rehabilitation projects as part of the Township's Asset Management Plan.

The Hopewell Township Sewer Department operates and maintains two small public sanitary sewer conveyance systems which service the Brandon Farms and Princeton Farms developments. Portions of both existing collection systems are deteriorated and subject to inflow and infiltration resulting in loss of sewage to the environment and admission of groundwater and stormwater to the system. In accordance with the Asset Management Plan, the Township plans to repair the deteriorated sewers to assure that wastewater is safely conveyed to the regional wastewater treatment facility.
