HOBOKEN CITY WATER MAIN UPGRADES

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

Hoboken City recently closed on a $8,910,686 loan with the NJ Water Bank to upgrade its watermains. The project includes engineering design, permitting, and construction to replace the existing water mains in ten high priority locations on Madison Street, Madison Avenue, 5th Street, Jefferson Street, Grand Street, 7th Street, Adams Street, 8th Street, and Court Street. All 6-inch water mains will be replaced with 8-inch mains to meet current standards. All service lines will be replaced from the water main to the curb, and valve boxes will be added at the curb stops. This project will provide safe and reliable drinking water to Hoboken residents.
