BERKELEY TOWNSHIP SA BAYVIEW AVENUE FORCE MAIN REPLACEMENT

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

The Berkeley Township Sewerage Authority closed on a $2,911,031 loan with the New Jersey Water Bank to replace the Bayview Avenue Force Main. The project proposes to replace the ten-inch diameter DIP force main along Colleran Place, Neary Avenue, Brennan Concourse, and Bayview Avenue and discharge the effluent to a gravity sewer at Evergreen Drive. The project includes the installation of approximately 7,400 feet of new ten-inch force main within the existing rights-of-ways as close as possible to the existing force main service. Manholes for air release valves will also be included. The replacement of this 50-year-old force main, constructed circa 1968, will improve water quality in Barnegat Bay and eliminate any potential beach and/or shellfish bed closings.
