Plumsted Township recently closed on a $1.3 million loan with the NJ Transportation Bank for considerable upgrades to several roads and drainage systems. This project will create 16 direct one-year construction jobs.
The work will include resurfacing Lakeview Drive, repairing culverts on Meadowbrook, Brynmore, and Kuzyk Roads, fixing a sinkhole at the Police Department's recycling area, and rebuilding Lepky Avenue with a new drainage system. Design work is also underway for Hopkins Road and Tower Road.
These projects will make Plumsted roads safer, reduce flooding, and reopen the recycling center that's been closed due to storm damage. These projects are not just repairs, they are investments in safety, sustainability, and the quality of life for its residents.
