SHIP BOTTOM WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

Ship Bottom Borough recently closed on a $3,865,000 loan with the New Jersey Water Bank to remove and replace approximately 1,0845 linear feet of existing water main and 1,730 linear feet of water services. The existing water main piping is deteriorating, contributing to the to the occurrence of leaks and cracks. The increase in development since the installation of the water system has created higher water demand on the Borough requiring upgrades and water main replacement. The project also includes the replacement and installation of 18 fire hydrants, the installation of approximately 62 gate valves, and state and county pavement restoration.
