SHIP BOTTOM WTP LOAN CLOSING

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

Ship Bottom Borough recently closed on a $9,500,000 loan with the New Jersey Water Bank to replace its only Water Treatment Facility which was damaged by Superstorm Sandy. The plant is over 70 years old and since the pumps and electric system were impaired by the storm, numerous temporary repairs have been completed to maintain operation of the plant. The construction of a new plant will address additional pressure on the system due to new homes and commercial developments within the borough.
