PLUMSTED TOWNSHIP LOAN CLOSING

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

Plumsted Township closed recently on a $25,000,000 construction loan with the NJ Water Bank for the construction of a new sanitary sewer collection system, pump station and treatment plant. The Township did not have a public sewer system in the past and the existing septic systems are failing due to age and are adversely impacting groundwater quality and adjacent waterways. The collection system will consist of approximately 3,800 linear feet of 8- and 10-inch gravity sewer, 5000 LF of 8-inch force main to the sewage treatment plant, the construction of a pump station, construction of a sewage treatment plant and disposal of the treated wastewater. The construction of a temporary raw wastewater holding tank is also proposed.
