KEARNY LOAN CLOSING

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

The Township of Kearny closed today on a $14,090,909 construction loan with the NJ Water Bank to redevelop the Gunnel Oval recreational complex into a modern artificial turf sports complex including an engineered cap to minimize potential exposure to historic fill materials. The project is designed to implement stormwater management controls that minimize the impact of frequent flooding at the complex and the surrounding residential and industrial neighborhoods due to the tidal Kearny Marsh.
