CLINTON TOWN LOAN CLOSING

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

Clinton Town closed today on a $719,969 construction loan with the NJ Water Bank. Pursuant to the Capital Improvement Plan derived from the Asset Management Plan (AMP) for the system, the Town of Clinton is continuing efforts to implement the AMP to resume the conversion of customer service meters to radio read in order to improve billing accuracy, further reduce the percentage of non-revenue water in the water system and in part minimize the wastewater return to the sanitary sewer collection system. Approximately 750 meters remain for replacement. The preparation of the asset management plan, including the evaluation of the system-wide meter inventory and the incorporation of these assets in GIS as well as ongoing analysis of financing options and rate analysis are part of the extensive planning efforts to identify the scope and priority of this capital improvement project.
