LOWER TOWNSHIP MUA DEL HAVEN WATER MAIN EXTENSION

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

The Lower Township MUA recently closed on a $8,500,00 loan with the New Jersey Water Bank for the expansion of its drinking water system north of Lower Township into the community of Del Haven and parts of Green Creek in Middle Township. The proposed project consists of the installation of approximately 62,000 linear feet of water main and approximately 900 water service connections. The area is serviced by individual shallow wells that are an average of 40 years old and starting to show effects of saltwater intrusion. The project will accommodate 854 new residential services and 97 fire hydrants.
