OLD BRIDGE MUA LOAN CLOSING

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

The Old Bridge MUA recently closed on a $1,723,970 loan with the New Jersey Water Bank to Rehabilitate part of the Authority's Water Distribution System. Many of the 2- and 4-inch cast iron mains have become tuberculated internally, restricting the flow and creating water quality issues including discoloration. They have also become prone to breakage due to their age and condition. These undersized watermains will be replaced with 6-inch diameter mains located throughout the Laurence Harbor Section of Old Bridge Township. These proposed improvements will improve water quality, flow, and pressure. The project will also reduce the frequency of watermain breaks and financial costs associated with them.
