LONG BEACH TOWNSHIP LOAN CLOSING

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

Long Beach Township recently closed on a $4,622,081 loan with the New Jersey Water Bank to replace deteriorated and cracked sanitary sewer pipes with PVC pipes to limit significant volumes of groundwater infiltration into the sewer conveyance system and to prevent the pipes from leaking into the surrounding soil and water table.

The project replaces approximately 9000 linear feet (LF) of sanitary sewer pipe with 8- and 10-inch PVC pipe. Approximately 200 LF of sanitary sewer lateral and wyes will be replaced and connected to existing lateral. 65 new sanitary sewer drop manholes will be installed, and approximately 2500 square yards of initial pavement will be restored. The project also includes dewatering, restriping, traffic control, and landscaping restoration.
