JCMUA SEWER PIPE REPLACEMENT/CSO STUDY LOAN CLOSING

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

The Jersey City Municipal Utilities Authority recently closed on a $10,525,544 loan with the NJ Water Bank to repair/replace sections of the combined sanitary sewer lines. This project includes in-kind replacement of approximately 8,700 linear feet of 12" to 48" diameter combined sewer, and spot repair/replacement of manholes and catch basins.

The project addresses deterioration and eventual failure of the existing infrastructure, preventing combined sewer overflow into waterways and the potential backup and overflow of raw sanitary sewage and storm water.
