Hamburg Borough recently closed on a $561,016 loan with the New Jersey Water Bank to rehabilitate three water storage tanks. The three cylindrical tanks include one with a 100,000-gallon capacity which is over 70 years old. The other two tanks hold a capacity of 250- and 300,000 gallons respectively and are approximately 50 years old. In addition to the interior and exterior tank painting, proposed upgrades will bring the borough into OSHA compliance.
