BAYONNE CITY LOAN CLOSING

NJ I-Bank and NJDEP Helping to Improve New Jersey's Infrastructure, One Project at a Time

Bayonne City recently closed on a $1,618,539 loan with the NJ Water Bank for stormwater management facilities and Francis G. Fitzpatrick Park improvements.

Sanitary sewer and stormwater runoff for the area bounded by J.F.K. Boulevard (C.R. 501), West 30th Street, Broadway, and West 26th Street is collected in a combined sewer system and conveyed to Passaic Valley unless there is a surcharge and Passaic Valley cannot handle the flow at which point it discharges directly into the Newark Bay.

The proposed project consists of stormwater management facilities and the installation of a separate stormwater collection system to be constructed as part of the upgrades to the Francis G. Fitzpatrick Park. The proposed project will also be designed to reduce total energy consumption  or recover previously wasted energy.
